Kinsman is a complete boarding facility for thoroughbred clients. Our 750 acres offer large turn out fields for broodmares and young stock. The barns are clean and well constructed for proper ventilation and safety. The staff at Kinsman Farm is comprised of seasoned horse people and trained professionals that provide the best care possible for each horse entrusted in our care.
Kinsman has the ideal facility to start yearlings. Our large shed row style training barn is surrounded by ample grass turnout paddocks. We have two large round pens with excellent footing and a large riding field for early flat work. Our horses spend several weeks trail riding before going to the race track for the first time. The magnificent live oak shaded horse path leads to the most well maintained 3/4 mile irrigated dirt track in Marion County. The barn is also equipped with a Eurociser, a vibrating floor and a swimming pool.
Kinsman will accept any horse that is in need of medical care and/or rehabilitation. Our specialty is Eye Care and we have been very successful with treating these types of injuries. The Critical Care staff is highly trained and is capable of caring for all types of illnesses and injuries. The barn has large well ventilated stalls and is surrounded by turn out paddocks of all sizes to accommodate the needs of the recovering equine. The barn is equipped with a vibrating floor and is in close proximity to the horse pool.
We have an excellent set up to rest and rehabilitate your equine athlete. Whether it’s for a short freshening or a post-surgical recovery, we have the knowledge and experience needed to bring your horse back to the track healthy and happy.
Kinsman horses have sold well at every major two year old sale across the country. We have a superior 3/4 mile dirt track and a large horse swimming pool to assure your horse is ready when it’s time for breeze day. Among our recent sales graduates are G1 Alcibiades winner Dancing Rags and graded stakes placed Count Alexander.
We offer a full service yearling sales preparation program. Our yearlings are turned out in the evening and brought in during the day. We provide the highest quality feed and hay available and closely monitor the growth and development of the young horses. We weigh our young horses monthly and they are inspected by our staff, team veterinarian and farrier routinely.
